Welcome to Cottontail Cafe – Hot cocoa bunny bar

Blog· Easter / Spring· Free Printables· Seasonal decorating

I’ve been busy adding LOTS of Spring touches to our home recently. And of course I couldn’t leave out creating a dedicated hot cocoa bunny bar to our kitchen. I always have great fun decorating a small drinks corner in our kitchen and this Easter is no exception. So, let me show you our little Cottontail Cafe!

Cocoa and bunny tails

Let’s face it, although Spring may be on its’ way .. some days are still pretty chilly. So hot cocoa is a welcome evening drink – even it’s just to warm my hands on the mug! I use these milk bottles to fill up with cocoa (and marshmallows of course). I’m sure you’ve seen I use them the whole year round. Check out here when I used them for my Christmas hot cocoa bar last year.

I used a (free!!) program called “Canva” to create the little tags for the bottles. However, if you don’t know how to use it, you can download and print my ones here. Just print, cut them out and use some baker’s twine to hang off the bottle.

The mugs I got a few years ago. I can’t remember where I bought them but Asda seems to ring a bell. The little whisk came from a local shop, but I found a similar one here.

Throw in a few white bunnies and some colourful eggs to add some variety. I’m pretty sure I bought the bunny with the flower pot and the one sitting in the nest at TK Maxx last year. The yellow egg plate in the background was a TK Maxx find too. However, Ebay do an identical one right here!

The layered storage jars were from Home Bargains. The green trivet was a Facebook Market Place bargain buy. I’m thinking of changing the colour as it’s a bit too dark for my liking. However, it gives quite a bit of contrast to this display so I decided to leave it for now.

Here you can see it really doesn’t need a massive area to create a colourful little bunny bar. Do you recognise our little girly bunny on the right? You can find how I made her in this post here.

Add a cottontail sign

I added a quirky little sign to place on top my little farmhouse riser. You can find out how I made the mini riser here. It’s perfect for adding a bit of height to your displays. The sign is actually black cardboard paper with a vinyl decal added to it. However, just because not everyone has a vinyl cutter, I have turned it into a printable file for you to use here.

See the sweets in the jars? They’re the second lot of sweets I had to buy. I actually had them ready to take photos last week, but somehow they disappeared!! I know! .. what was I thinking?!

I hope you like my little bunny bar and that it’s given you some inspiration to make your own hot cocoa or coffee corner.

Sharing is caring! Would you Pin me for later?
