One thing that is pretty much a definite in our house is a wreath of some description. It doesn’t matter what season it is, a wreath is something that can be put together so quickly and COMPLETELY change the look of an area in your home. Like this little scarecrow wreath.
Want quick and simple? Gotcha!! Here’s what I used to put together this little beauty.
What you need for your autumn wreath
Two autumn picks – I got these from The Range for only £1.89 each
A wreath shape – mine was 12″ from HobbyCraft
A little scarecrow – I bought mine in a local shop, but Amazon do a pack of 3 here
Hot glue – my new favorite is this Ryobi cordless one (a birthday treat!)
Some pipe cleaners – mine came from this pack

How to put your scarecrow wreath together
To be honest with you, most of the hard work had already been done as these picks did a great job of keeping everything together!

I just placed the pick on the bottom of the wreath and secured it with a pipe cleaner. Just bend and twist some of those leaves and berries where you want them to go. You can see the whole process in action on my Facebook LIVE video by clicking on the link here.
I wanted to cover the bottom half of the wreath and so only used 2 picks to do this. I pulled off one of the pumpkins from the pick and hot glued this on the other side of the foliage to even it out.

Once the picks were secured in place I took my little scarecrow girl and hot glued the hat in place. I just tucked the rest of the scarecrow in between the foliage and didn’t even secure this. As it’s not going anywhere, I figured it wouldn’t need it!

Last of all, to fill out the wreath a bit more on the top, I make 2 bows from some raffia and hot glued these in place. Ruffle them out and make them as messy as you want.

And .. that was it!

Here it is in our hallway. Want to see what I used in our hall during the summer so you can compare? Check out how it looked with my summer hat in the post right here. See how simple it is to just mix things up for the seasons?
