5 minute Christmas Scrabble tree

Blog· Christmas· Easy Crafts and DIY

This Christmas decoration is probably THE easiest one I have made so far. Seriously, this took me about 5 minutes. Remember those Scrabble pictures we made earlier this year? If not, you can check the post out here. Anyway, time to use up some more of those Scrabble tiles to make this super-simple (and incredibly quick!) Christmas Scrabble picture. This is going to be a short blog post!

here’s what you need

  • Small picture frame – I used this 6 x 4 frame from The Range (a bargain at £2.49)
  • Scrabble tiles – I still had mine left over from previous project – you can get them at The Range, The Works or Amazon do them here
  • Scrapbook paper background – I used a Christmas design pad from The Works
  • Hot glue
  • Small embellishment of choice for top of “tree”

How to make your christmas Scrabble tree

This is as easy as 1, 2 and 3. Here we go!

Grab your frame and take the glass out.

Next, cut the background paper to size and pop back in the frame

Finally, glue down the tiles.

There is one additional optional step. You can finish it off with an embellishment on the top, just to add some detail. I had some sparkly stickers to hand so decided to use them.

And that was it!! Didn’t I tell you it was quick and easy?

It’s just a perfect addition to add some holiday cheer in a little corner of your room. Here’s how it looks on our piano. Excuse the crazy fluffy dog 🙂 – it’s a left over from when the kids were little!!
