Decorating a seasonal coffee corner in our kitchen definitely is one of my very favourite things! Whether it’s a Christmas hot cocoa corner, or an Easter bunny bar, I’m always on the lookout for something to decorate it slightly differently than the year before. I’m really pleased with how it’s turned out this year! It’s bright, lovely and colourful! And in these dark last weeks, it’s given me ALL the Spring feels!
let’s talk colour!
I was fully intending to go all pink this year! Until I found these adorable gonk bunnies from TK Maxx. They were in my favourite aqua colour and of course I couldn’t resist them! BUT, that’s not to say I haven’t added some splashes of pink here and there! Are you ready?
I figured this little shelving unit (also a find from TK Maxx) would be perfect for decorating any future coffee corners. It was originally a bit too tall, but “Rob to the rescue” who cut it down to the right size for me! Amazon do a spice rack/2 tiered shelving unit here.
I added some artificial grass to bring in some Spring greenery for a little carrot patch 🙂
The cute little “Some bunny needs coffee” sign is a free printable so you can add it to your own Easter coffee bunny bar! It’s an A4 size document, but I scaled mine down to fit in a 6 x 4 frame.
we’re about to get even more colourful!
The egg bunting came from The Range last year and tucks perfectly under our kitchen units for some added colour! They no longer do the egg design, but have a look at this one instead – I’m SO tempted to get it! Isn’t it cute?!
The yellow mugs were from previous years (I think I bought them in Asda). I was going to buy myself some cute Gonk mugs in TK Maxx (they had SO MANY GREAT OPTIONS!), but I blew my budget on a big “Alice in Wonderland Rabbit” instead. (I’m going to be using it to decorate our dining room table for Spring soon so stay tuned peeps!!)
I seem to have gone a bit crazy in TK Maxx this year as the cute little duckling (which of course I just couldn’t resist!) also came from them. I can’t see the same one on line, but they did have this adorable pair!
The bunny measuring spoons also came from TX Maxx which I bought in their sale last year! I can’t see the same ones, but Ebay do these similar ones.
The yellow egg plate was another TK Maxx find from last year. They do this one as their current seasonal one which would go just as well with the pink colours.
Add a print or two ..
I like to add some prints here and there as it’s a super cheap way to add some fun. You can find this one here for FREE to add some Spring colour to your kitchen too. Just pop in a frame and you’re all set!
I made the little carrot garland by simply tying some carrots onto some string.
The bright pink stand below was a Facebook Marketplace find. It was actually an old worn down silver stand which had seen better days! I didn’t like it as it was, so I painted it with bright pink acrylic paint and added some white polka dots for good measure. Because I’ve painted it, it’s no good for food anymore, but I’m only using it to add some height to a display. And if I did want to have food in it, I can always pop a bowl in the top.
You can see how I made the easy little bunny frame here. So simple, but hasn’t it turned out adorable?
The bunny jar is also from The Range. I was going to fill them up with Cadbury mini eggs, but for some reason their prices have kept going up and up over the last few years. It would have cost an absolute fortune to fill up the jar (even with packing out the middle with a cardboard roll!) So instead I opted to fill them with party rings. They are my guilty pleasure and I’ll admit to buying an additional pack that never made it to the jar! That way I still get the Spring colour for a fraction of the price 😉 And let’s face it – it won’t be any time at all before they get eaten in our house!
And here’s one final look at the whole colourful bunny bar together! Which bit is your favourite?
Missed my bunny bar from last year? You can find it here (with another free printable!) if you want to check it out.
